Started by two brothers in 1978, their dreams continue to this day. Ewing-Doherty Mechanical, Inc. has been re-established to emphasize the level of industry excellence and superior client service originally envisioned by the founding family; thus ensuring the company continues to operate in the plumbing industry as one of the largest, most successful, reputable contractors in this field. Honesty and integrity have placed us in the forefront as competent professionals.

Our firm is primarily engaged in the plumbing and site utility fields of the construction industry, operating in northeastern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin. We provide labor and material for commercial, industrial, institutional and residential projects to owners, architects, project managers and a significant number of the larger general contractors in the Chicago metropolitan area.

During the past several years, we have completed work on many major projects: The Sears Merchandising Group, Hoffman Estates, IL; The United Center (home of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks), Chicago, IL; The Blue Cross/Blue Shield Headquarters, Chicago, IL.; Lowes Hotel, Chicago, IL; and Wolf Point Tower, Chicago, IL.

Our centralized location enables us to maintain competent supervision and control of our experienced craftsmen at project sites located throughout the area. Along with our field; our preconstruction, design and operations staff is comprised of union plumbers. We take great pride in the fact our office is equipped with the technical knowledge necessary to accommodate the plumbing needs or challenges of our clients.

We conduct all of our business operations from our headquarters in Bensenville, IL. Our operations include approximately 220 mechanics in the field and 90 vehicles in our fleet. Our site utility company provides us with immediate access to all types of underground sewer and water work.

Contractor Magazine and P&M, our national trade journals, list Ewing-Doherty Mechanical, Inc. among the top six firms in the plumbing industry nationwide, and the largest in the Chicago metropolitan area.
